How are we supposed to pay for anything if we do not get our salary? the protesting teachers in the Kurdistan region cities ask.
” we ask all the parents and student to participate in the mass protests that we are going to make.” the protesting teachers said according to a statement.
“unfortunately, the Kurdish authorities in northern Iraq oppress the teachers and government employees day by day with not paying their salaries. Their latest step is putting aside the salary of five months that they had to pay last year and it is two months who haven’t paid the employees.” the statement reads.
The protesting teachers have presented some points as their demands for teachers and students parents as it comes asking the teachers not to start teaching after paying the salary of one month for 55 days with 18 percent cut.
They also say, the electronic study as suggested by the government is devaluation of the teachers role and education process.
