$15 million will be allocated for the renovation and construction of the power line

More than 220,000 criteria are attached


To solve the problem of power lines, the regional government has allocated $15 million for the renovation and construction of power lines, and more than 220,000 smart meters are still connected to homes.


Umed Mohammad, a spokesman for the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Ministry of Electricity, told (Shkoi Kurdistan) that the regional government has allocated $ 15 million to build a new power line, renovate power stations and provide them with the necessary electricity to solve the problem of power lines.


A spokesman for the Ministry of Electricity said: “By saving that money and starting some other measures, we have been able to increase the amount of national electricity, even this year, by about 400 megawatts.”

At the same time, the Ministry of Electricity continues to install smart meters for homes, and by the end of February, more than 220 thousand meters of homes have been installed, of which 86 thousand are in Erbil and 14 thousand in Erbil and 75 thousand in Erbil and 45 thousand in Erbil.


About the time of the project’s end, a spokesman for the Ministry of Electricity stated that setting the smart meter is one of the strategic and important projects in the Ministry of Electricity to repair and arrange the national electricity network in the Kurdistan Region.
