Hevidar Ahmed, Deputy head of economic and finance committee of Kurdstan parliament from the KDP stated that the government can’t collect all local income, to do so, it needs a civil war.
” There are bad and worse options in front of us, the bad is corruption and the worse is civil war.”
Hevidar also stated that there is a very fragile situation in Kurdistan which is related to the economic and financial drop.
” Kurdistan Region as part of Iraq has been infected by the pandemic.
He also explained that from 45 percent to 50 percent of the KRG income depends on the federal government. So the economic decline has affected employees salary.
